Placing a Call by Deborah Levy

Writer Deborah Levy was born in South Africa in 1959. When she was only 5 her father was taken to prison for fighting the apartheid. At 9 she and her family moved to Britain. She claims she started to write at a very young age because there was so much she wanted to say and could not find her speaking voice to express them.

She is a very prolific writer and at The Reading Experience we have shared several of her magnificent short stories and novels.
