About us

I strongly believe that words have the intrinsic power to heal, soothe and embellish life”.

Estela Meije

I have participated in poetry and reading workshops both in London and Buenos Aires, and taught English at many levels since I was very young. I have created a space where I blend Language and Literature called The Reading Experience. At the Reading Experience the protagonists are the readers and their unique voices into the selected narratives.

"I taught English at many levels since I was very young. Recently I have created a space where I blend Language an Literature called The Reading Experience."

I provide a space in which language is mutually constructed and individual needs are met with the best of my expertise. Each group possesses its own texture and dynamic and every participant is singularly encouraged and assisted so that personal pace, preferences and voice are specially taken care of and supported by myself and the whole group.

Gabriela Tavolara, Teacher

"I have been teaching at schools and at workshops for more than 10 years. I joined Prof. Estela Meije at El Taller de Inglés in 2020. Here, I facilitate three workshops: Let the Stories Begin! for children and teens, The Reading Experience for adults and Entrelenguas, Spanish lessons for foreign speakers."

“I have specialized in literature for children and adolescents, and later broadened the scope to working with adults, which has brought about deep joy. I choose texts that awaken creativity and deconstruction of meanings to enrich our community and build intercultural competence and confidence. Thus, I seek to promote literacy, critical and pleasure reading that lead to expression and debate. In addition, I feel that literature is a space for meeting and exploring with others and with oneself.”

Gabriela Tavolara, Teacher at El Taller de Inglés

“Be sure to enjoy language, experiment with ways of talking, be exuberant even when you don’t feel like it because language can make your world a better place to live.”
